December 2023 Beauty Executive Moves

We wrapped 2023 with a handful of executive moves in the beauty industry. The trend of emerging brands bolstering their businesses with experienced talent continued.Hailey Bieber’s Rhode names Lauren Ratner President, Chief Brand Officer. Ratner, who previously served as Head of Brand, has been promoted to President and Chief Brand Officer. The appointment follows the departure of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Melanie Bender. Ratner joined Rhode pre-launch after holding marketing positions at Reformation, Michael Kors, and James Perse.Goop’s influential Fashion and Editorial Director Ali Pew left Gwyneth Paltrow‘s lifestyle brand after six years. She oversaw all things fashion editorial and creative, and collaborated on the G. Label alongside Senior Director of Fashion Roxanne Marie and the design team.Revolution Beauty succumbed to pressure from shareholders to shape up its management team as it reached a settlement agreement with co-founder Tom Allsworth. The UK-based beauty incubator announced that Chief Financial Officer Elizabeth Lake would step down and be replaced by the group's current Non-Executive Director Neil Catto. The business also appointed Erin Cast President of its North American division. Cast brings over 25 years of experience across sales, marketing, general management, and board roles in beauty.Nobilis Group, a leading distributor in the German-speaking region, has appointed Mattias Mußler, Managing Director of a new, independently operating company within the group.Clean makeup brand Youthforia announced its two first major executive hires. Tina Shim is the Vice President of Marketing, and KC Giddings joins the team as Vice President of Sales.
